Cookies & storage policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

1. In short

Azani sets no cookies at all, and we load nothing from other websites: no analytics, no advertising pixels, no external fonts. We do use your browser's local storage, which works like a cookie that never leaves your device. This page lists every item.

2. Essential storage

These items are needed for the site to work as you asked, so they do not need consent under PECR.

Name	What it does	How long
`azani.age`	Remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older.	Until you clear it
`azani.consent`	Remembers your choice on this banner.	Until you clear it
`azani.members`	Holds any account you create here and its progress.	Until you delete the account
`azani.session`	Keeps you logged in (in session storage unless you choose to stay logged in).	Session or until you log out
`azani.tries`	Counts recent failed log-in attempts to slow down guessing.	Up to 15 minutes

3. Preference storage

Only if you choose Accept do we keep these.

Name	What it does	How long
`azani.prefs`	Your sound setting and lobby sort order.	Until you clear it

4. Demo mode

Guests' practice credits live only in the open tab's memory. Nothing about demo play is written to storage.

5. Changing your mind

Use to change your choice at any time — Accept and Reject are equally easy. You can also clear everything in your browser's site settings.
